The people who teach your child
Your child learns one-to-one, so the teacher matters more than anything else we do. Every one of ours is a qualified educator, DBS-checked, and chosen by us personally.

Open position
We’re looking for a qualified teacher who can make money make sense to a nine-year-old. Small team, flexible hours, work that genuinely matters.
Apply nowOur teachers currently deliver the Key Stage 2 programme for ages 7–11. A Key Stage 3 programme for ages 11–14 is on the way, and we’ll be recruiting for it.
Every teacher, checked and chosen
Anyone can call themselves an online tutor. Here’s what we actually do before a teacher meets your child.
Enhanced DBS check
Every teacher holds an Enhanced DBS certificate before teaching a single class.
Qualified educators
Teaching qualifications and references verified — not just enthusiasm for the subject.
Trained on our programme
Knowing money isn’t the same as teaching it to a child. Every teacher is trained on how we deliver it.
Safeguarding trained
Annual safeguarding training, and a code of conduct governing every interaction with a child.
In a Smartmonies class
One-to-one, always
Just your child and their teacher. Questions get answered properly, and nobody hides at the back.
A 40-minute slot
Teaching runs 30 to 40 minutes depending on the child. We’d rather finish while they’re still enjoying it than push on to fill the time.
The same familiar face
We keep children with the same teacher wherever we can. Familiarity is half the battle.
A parent nearby
Classes run on a secure video platform with a waiting room, and we ask that a parent is at home.
